Fun Stuff: Best Movie Car Chases

YouTube user Brutzelpretzel did an amazing job at editing together some of the best car scenes witnessed on screen from 1964’s Goldfinger to 2008’s Vantage Point, and with an inspired music choice to boot! Seriously, this guy deserves some praise, superb video. View a full list of movies used after the jump (the only inexplicable omission I detect is Casino Royale and its record-breaking crash).

Fun Stuff: The Sticky Note Experiments

Chances are you’ve already seen this, but honestly do you need an excuse to watch it again? The Sticky Note Experiments is the latest vid from EepyBird, the dudes behind the whole Diet Coke + Mentos thing, and all I can say is I don’t know how they do it but just as their previous video, it’s frickin’ beautiful…

Fun Stuff: Hollywood Hair Makeover

Ever wondered how you’d look like with your favorite celebrity’s hairstyle? Well now you can thanks to Instyle and its Hollywood Virtual Hair Makeover. The downside? It’s geared for women so it’s only female celebs. But it’s still totally worth it because: it’s 100% free, you can upload as many photos as you want, it’s damn hilarious to see yourself with elaborate feminine hairstyles and most of all it looks pretty damn realistic as you can see from the above pics of actor Brad Pitt (Burn After Reading) sporting the hairstyles of his three high profile romances: Gwyneth Paltrow (Iron Man), Jennifer Aniston (The Break-Up) and Angelina Jolie (Changeling).

Legendary clothing company Levi’s has long been known for their beautiful, imaginative commericials, and their latest, titled Onion Peel, is no different. Shot backwards, it was directed by Michael Haussman, who’s previously helmed ads for such brands as Yves Saint Laurent, Ray Ban and Martini and music videos such as SexyBack for Justin Timberlake and You Know My Name for Chris Cornell in addition to a few feature films, the last of which being 2003’s Blind Horizon. You can view his whole body of work at the man’s official site. What did you think of Onion Peel?

Fun Stuff: Celebrities go vote crazy

Fun Stuff makes its triumphant return with a boatload of election-minded videos. American celebrities have long used their unproven influence to encourage their fellow citizens to vote and they’ve never gone as all out as this year, what with their Obama songs and all. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought Americans didn’t actually get to vote for their presidents? So what is it you do vote for?

The above video, titled 5 Friends for some dumb reason, features a boatload of celebrities including Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Benicio Del Toro, Sarah Silverman, Dustin Hoffman, Ashton Kutcher, Laura Linney, Jonah Hill, Natalie Portman, Forest Whitaker, Djimon Hounsou, Michelle Trachtenberg, Demi Moore, Halle Berry, Jennifer Aniston, Eva Longoria, Courteney Cox Arquette, will.i.am, Jamie Foxx, Amy Adams, Kate Bosworth, Kevin Bacon and several others.

The one below however, entitled The Muzzler, is much more low-key and features only Jessica Alba (ironically in one of her better performances) and Hayden Panettiere.

And if that wasn’t enough, Rosario Dawson wrote and starred in the four-part internet musical La Pasion De La Decision to encourage American latinos to vote, directed by her co-star Wilmer Valderrama. You can see all four videos after the jump. Which would you say is more earnest/more convincing? Continue reading
